Welcome to
Friends of 2 Rivers

A citizens' organization committed to promoting a safe, healthy and enriching environment for the communities at the confluence of the Clark Fork and Blackfoot Rivers.

John GibbsMy name is John Gibbs and my wife Ruth and I moved to Kalispell from Alaska six years ago.  I began turning wood after reading an article in the daily newspaper.  I then joined the local Woodturner’s Club and have enjoyed working with many different types of woods. Like fingerprints, no two items are alike. That is what drives me to keep turning wood.

Jackie Priess, Jax HatsI started my clothing line, JAX after winning a local design contest in Missoula, MT 5 years ago based on the popular TV series, Project Runway.  I have always enjoyed recycling, and came up with a brilliant plan to reuse old sweaters and make them into hats.  It is fun to see the combinations created using a sweater and a t-shirt and watch my creations blossom into JAX HATS.  When my husband was laid off his job, I taught him how to cut and sew, and he has been helping me grow this business.  We create lovable, stylish apparel from recycled clothing by breathing new life into them.  The possibilities are endless!  I am saving the world from ugly sweaters – one sweater at a time!
The buttons are each handmade by me, which is a signature look for my hats as well as the Jax signature embroidered on every hat.

My website is jaxhats.com and I sell through 10 local stores and several in other areas of Montana.

carol-mccolloughI have always had an interest in creating something special. My interest in crafts started many years ago with cross stitch, fabric crafts, scrapbooking and for the last 10 years jewelry. Over those 10 years my focus has changed dramatically. I am still trying to find that "niche" that appeals to a broad range of customers. I have been a regular at the Saturday market for the last 10 years and have enjoyed every minute of it. This will be my third year as a vendor at HOOKed on Art.
Come check out my newest creations....long single strand knotted necklaces!

I started Alikat Boutique 3 years ago after purchasing a couple of hats through Etsy for my daughters who love to dress like princesses 24 hours a day and thinking, “I can make these”.  I did a little research and started creating!  I now offer embellished knit hats, hand designed/hand dyed shirts and onesies, tutus, capes, girly flip flops, hair clips, head bands and I will soon be adding skirts to my spring line.
