Welcome to

A citizens' organization committed to promoting a safe, healthy and enriching environment for the communities at the confluence of the Clark Fork and Blackfoot Rivers.

myra-ducharmeI have been working in clay for about 50 years, and I love it. This fluid, free-flowing, plastic, sometimes gooey stuff has a mind of its own. I love the variety, freedom and spontaneity that clay offers.  Sometimes sitting down at the wheel is intuitively the way to go; other times it's the slab roller and hand building that beckons. The range of possibilities has been the work of my art-life.

I am reminded of what happens in the creative process: you start somewhere, take a step, and another, and gradually the work creates itself.

Please feel free to contact me.   If you live in or near Missoula, MT, I invite you to come to the studio and look around. Call for directions.

If you live outside the area, you may order by phone.  We can then make arrangements to ship your order to you after your check clears. I will be using UPS to handle the shipping.

Dutch Meyer

Being the son of a carpenter who spent his life building homes and cabinet making in the Missoula area, I naturally followed with it as a hobby.  I devote my spare time, however, to things a lot smaller than buildings and furniture.  I build clocks and other small wooden things of interest.

As a former law enforcement officer, I found wood working was a very relaxing hobby “to get away from it all.”

I use all species of woods and only quality clock inserts in my wares.

Whenever I traveled through out the Northwest and Alaska my camera was my traveling companion.  In Alaska whenever the fishing was too good or too bad, I turned my attention to photographing Grizzlies.  Pretty soon I became as obsessed with getting Griz photos as I did with catching big trout or salmon.  And the obsession soon spread to Rocky Mountain Sheep, Elk, Deer, Wolves, Mallards, Osprey and scenery.  And here I am today,  enthralled with magic of photography and its ability to turn rare moments of beauty and drama into eternal emotional experiences.
