Welcome to
Friends of 2 Rivers

A citizens' organization committed to promoting a safe, healthy and enriching environment for the communities at the confluence of the Clark Fork and Blackfoot Rivers.

See a grand array of beautifully restored vehicles at the Misfits Car Show at Bonner School, 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. on Saturday, August 18. Also enjoy a swap meet and concessions. Proceeds support the Bonner Close Up students.

Welcome to Don Felton serving his first full term on the Bonner Milltown Community Council. He was appointed to a full term by the County Commissioners after he stepped up to finish a vacated term.

Council Projects

As President of the Council, I’d like to invite all community members to come to Council meetings and be involved in your community affairs. The Council is presently working on getting a warning sign for bicycle riders installed at the railroad crossing where the hazard of bike wheels getting caught in the slots along the rails has caused many accidents and injuries. Moving the speed limit sign and getting a pedestrian trail between Milltown and East Missoula are other ongoing projects.

Each month we invite speakers to address issues in the community such as the Stimson cleanup, the Superfund

cleanup and restoration, and the state park.

On the April Agenda

• Keith Large (MT Dept. of Environmental Quality) - Stimson Cleanup

• Warren Hampton and Sue Furey (Friends of 2 Rivers) - solar lights for the new pedestrian trail

• Bill Colwell (Missoula Rural Fire Department) - Annual Fire Department Report

• Tom Kaiserski (MT Dept. of Commerce) - Biomass Feasibility Study

Ways to Participate

We are always receptive to community comments and issues. We are your connection to the County Commissioners. Come to the meetings at 7:00 p.m. on the second Monday of each month at the School Library, view meetings on MCAT Bresnan Channel 11 Thursdays at 8:00 a.m. and Fridays at 6:30 p.m., or contact us by email at the following email addresses.
