People begin running for all kinds of reasons. A few incentives are to be healthier, to lose weight, to get outside, and to socialize. Whatever your motivation is, remember to set yourself up for success by celebrating the small steps you have accomplished.

If you are able to go a further distance than two weeks ago, that is success! Don't look at how far you still have to go, rather look at the positive changes you have made to get active. Enlist family to support you by telling them your goals and by finding a friend to join you on walks or runs.
